Tomorrow It All Begins

2018 started out a bit rough. We drove home from vacation with family over New Year's Eve and arrived home early morning on the first to a house full of frozen pipes. Like the entire house! Even the water in the toilet was frozen!

So starting out the New Year ready to crush some goals and make some changes didn't go as planned.

In the past this would have taken over my entire year. I would have lost my momentum and kept going with the bad habits I want to break.

But not this year!

This times I'm going to pick up where I am and keep going. Last week was just a week that didn't go as planned. We had to wait for the water to unfreeze. I had to unpack and get the house in order from all the stuff brought back from Christmas. So it was a week of preparing for this week.

This week I'm prepared to get started. This week I'm ready to make the changes I need to so we can have the life we want to live!

Did you already lose the momentum of the New Year? Its not to late to still choose to make changes. Pick yourself up and get started! You won't regret it if you start a week later than planned but you will regret it if you never start!

Thank A Farmer

Do you ever stay at home and avoid going out on cold days? I still do this but I was much more successful at it before we moved to our farm. Currently our farm isn't much. We have about 30 chickens and 2 pigs and 3 dogs. But every morning and evening I have to go out no matter the weather and feed and check on our animals. If you have paid attention to the weather here in the south we are getting some nasty cold weather. Here in Oklahoma we have avoided that ice that Texas is getting but it's still been close to zero degrees when I've had to be outside.  For my farm it only takes me about 10 minutes to quickly feed and water the animals as long as they don't need any special attention. But this week we happen to be 'farm sitting'. So after I take care of our animals I have to drive to our friends farm and take care of their livestock. They have many more animals and many more chores.  Yesterday I dressed warm even though it was below zero when you...

One Excuse Day

When starting this 90 workout challenge offered free from Bikini Body Mommy I decided that I needed to make some changes and really think through how I was going to accomplish this without giving up or letting life get in the way. Basically I've had too many excuses in the past and have failed to reach any of my health goals because of it. The difference this time is I'm not expecting 100% perfection from myself this time around. I'm giving myself one excuse day each week to skip my workout without guilt or self-shaming. Last week it was Saturday. And this week it is today. I'm doing this because I can't except myself to change overnight into this workout health nut machine overnight. It's not possible to change that fast. I'm already making several changes along with adding workouts to my daily life I can't except to achieve everything I want right now. By doing this I have let the weight of being perfect fall off my shoulders so I can keep goin...
